SCORM (Sharable Content Object Reference Model) is an industry-standard format for digital e-learning courses. Rosterfy supports SCORM integration, allowing you to easily upload and assign training modules created in third-party SCORM providers. Each SCORM package seamlessly delivers interactive course material including text, audio, video, and quizzes directly to your users while tracking their completion.
SCORM packages are typically generated using specialised e-learning authoring tools, such as:
Articulate 360
Adobe Captivate
EasyGenerator
ScormHero (for converting PowerPoint presentations or videos to SCORM format)
💡Tip: Rosterfy supports direct SCORM file uploads up to 100 MB. For SCORM packages exceeding this size, please contact our support team for a manual upload.
💡Tip: It is recommended to always test newly uploaded training using a test account before releasing it to your volunteer base. Ensure that finishing the training changes the volunteer's training record from Incomplete to Completed.

Locate the SCORM Starting Point
When configuring a SCORM training module in Rosterfy, you must define two package-specific settings: the Starting Point and the Complete Status. Configuring these correctly ensures the module launches smoothly and credits users with completion when finished.
The Starting Point tells Rosterfy which file inside the archive to open when a user begins the training, preventing the module from failing to load or showing a blank page. The Complete Status defines the exact success word the course sends upon finishing, typically completed or passed, ensuring the system registers the achievement rather than mistakenly leaving the volunteer's record as Incomplete.
Locate the SCORM.zip file on your computer.
Extract the SCORM .zip file:
Windows: Right-click the .zip file > select Extract All > save the new extracted folder.
Mac: Double-click the .zip file to automatically extract it into a folder.
Open the newly extracted folder.

Troubleshooting
💡Tip: Rosterfy hosts your SCORM packages but does not create or manage SCORM content. If you run into formatting, playback, or content issues within the course itself, please contact your SCORM file provider or instructional designer directly.
Error: API_1484_11 cannot be found
If a learner launches a course and encounters the error API_1484_11 cannot be found or Unable to find an API adapter, the package was exported using the SCORM 2004 standard. SCORM 2004 searches for an LMS API named API_1484_11, whereas Rosterfy supports SCORM 1.2 (SingleSCO), which requires the standard API adapter.
To resolve this, open your course authoring software (such as Articulate, Captivate, or Easygenerator):
Update your LMS export settings strictly to SCORM 1.2.
Re-export the module as a new zip package.
Upload the updated file to Rosterfy.
Training Status Not Updating
When a user finishes a SCORM course but their status remains as In Progress or Incomplete, the issue is typically caused by the SCORM package not transmitting the expected completion status call back to the Learning Management System (LMS). Different SCORM packages define completion differently, commonly reporting as either completed or passed, and completion often only triggers after a specific action is met, such as reaching the final slide, passing a quiz, or clicking an in-course button interaction such as Complete or Exit.
To determine what the SCORM package is returning as the completion status, follow the steps outlined in the Locate the SCORM Completion Status section. It is recommended to try this troubleshooting step before contacting support.
